Aspens decline in northern Arizona (KVIA)

PHOENIX Aspen trees are fast disappearing from Arizona mountains. They've been declining rapidly since the 1960s. The decline has been caused by elk eating saplings and a freeze in 1999 that left the trees susceptible to problems such as fungus.
